Elective caesarean sessions will take place as often as you need. These can be in your own home if you live within five miles of Downend, with me in Downend or online. Generally, only two sessions are needed. The first session runs for up to 90 minutes and we will go over what the caesarean will entail, discuss what you need to bring with you in your hospital bag and look at what a gentle caesarean entails. You will go away with armed with information and MP3s to help you to prepare and relax in the run up to, and during, your operation if you wish to use the MP3 to keep you relaxed, confident and positive. Subsequent sessions run for up to 60 minutes.
